About the event

We are delighted to announce that Professor Mary C. Murphy, Director of the Irish Insitute at Boston College will deliver our 2025 Annual Lecture at Europe House Dublin, on Wednesday, 5th March 2025 at 5pm.

Mary C. Murphy joined Boston College in Fall 2024, having previously been Head of the Department of Government and Politics at University College Cork. She is also IACES former President. Her main research and teaching interests include: Ireland/Northern Ireland and the EU, peace and conflict in Northern Ireland, and the politics of Brexit on the island of Ireland. Her current research focuses on post-Brexit Northern Ireland and relations with the EU and US.

The lecture is entitled: ‘Ireland and Brexit: Small state, big influence ’.
